WHAT CAN I SELL? You can sell men's and women's clothing and accessories in new or used condition. Non-clothing items are prohibited as are illegal items, including but not limited to, replicas or fakes, products derived from threatened or extinct species, and anything making medical claims (for example N95 masks). Stolen goods, items that promote or display violence, discrimination, hatred, and crime are also prohibited.

SELLING FEE After your item sells, we will deduct a 15% commission + 2.9% + $0.50 credit card processing fee on the final selling price of your item.

SHIPPING Buyers The buyer is responsible for paying the cost of shipping the items they order. Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the package and the distance it will be traveling. BUYSELL does not charge any extra fees for shipping. We pass our discounted commercial rates directly to the buyer. All packages ship via USPS Ground Advantage.

Sellers Sellers are not charged any fees for shipping the items they sell.* When listing an item, you will be required to enter the weight of your entire order (item + packaging). We encourage sellers to weigh their entire order (item + packaging) to ensure the correct shipping weight is entered. Package dimensions are optional. *As a seller, you are responsible for and will be charged extra for any overweight or nonstandard size fees imposed by the shipper. These additional fees will be deducted from your earnings and could lead to selling restrictions. HOW DO I PACKAGE MY SHIPMENT? Many items can be shipped in a polyethylene bag that adds little to no weight to your item. For items that require extra protection, we recommend using a lightweight shipping box. When using boxes, we recommend using the smallest box that will comfortably fit your item. A great way to get these shipping supplies is to recycle the packaging from items you’ve received in the mail. You can use standard USPS packaging or purchase shipping supplies from various vendors.

HOW DO I GET PAID? After the buyer receives their item and has accepted it, we will directly deposit your earnings into the account you listed when registering as a seller. Your earnings are based on the final sale price.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY? We will give you a full refund if your item never ships or is not as described in the listing. Otherwise, all sales are considered final. In addition, trades and transactions taking place outside of the BUYSELL platform are not covered by our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy and will not qualify for a refund.

Examples of what qualifies for a refund:

  • Undisclosed damage
  • Incorrect or missing item
  • Item not as described
  • Item is not authentic

Examples of what does not qualify for a refund: -Item does not fit -Item is not to your liking -I changed my mind and no longer want the item

HOW DO I REQUEST A REFUND? You will have 3 days from the date of delivery to Accept or Dispute your order. To request a refund, simply select Dispute and follow the prompts. *If no claim is made within 3 days of delivery, all sales are considered final and no refunds will be provided.

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER TO BUY & SELL ON BUYSELL? Yes. In order to make a purchase, you must register by providing your first name, last name, email address, and verify your phone number. To list an item for sale you will need to register by providing your first name, last name, email address, provide your payout details, and verify your identity with our payment processor Stripe.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY PASSWORD? To change your password, 1) select the Account Tab located at the bottom of most screens, 2) click on Login & Security, then, 3) click on Change Password and enter the email address associated with your account to receive a reset password link.

ZERO-TOLERANCE FRAUD POLICY: We take fraud very seriously. To keep the BUYSELL community safe, we are committed to recognizing and putting a stop to any suspected fraudulent activity. The BUYSELL team will regularly monitor our marketplace for fraudulent items and deceitful buyers/sellers. As per our policy, any items that we feel violate our TOS will be deleted at the sole discretion of the BUYSELL team. Users posting counterfeit items, items they do not own, or engaging in any other disingenuous behavior, etc. will be limited from using or suspended from the BUYSELL Service. We currently do not authenticate items nor do we offer an authentication service. Please exercise good judgment when using the Service.

COVERAGE FOR BUYERS: BUYSELL does not release payment until the item is delivered and the buyer confirms it is as specified or 3 days pass from the delivery date. If an item received is not as described in the listing, the buyer may request a full refund within 3 days of delivery.

COVERAGE FOR SELLERS: BUYSELL will protect the seller from any fraud that occurs during the transaction period. Actions such as chargebacks will be covered by BUYSELL if the buyer does claim their money back even after receiving the item you sent.

*To be eligible for coverage, all transactions must take place entirely on the BUYSELL platform.

BLOCKING USERS: Users can be blocked from interacting with you. Once a user is blocked, they will not be able to Message, Like, Make an Offer, or Purchase any of your listings.

To block a user:

  1. Go to the user's store
  2. At the top of the page, select the Action Menu (...).
  3. Select Block User.

CANCELLATIONS: All orders are considered final unless the seller does not ship the item within seven business days. After this period, the buyer will be able to request cancellation and receive a full refund. Shipped orders cannot be canceled.

To cancel, 1) click on the Account tab and, 2) select Buying to find your order 3) Click on the order you want to cancel then, 4) click on the Cancel Order button 5) submit you cancellation request. By canceling your order, you will receive a full refund to your original form of payment usually within 3-5 business days.

Orders placed by making an offer are final and cannot be canceled.

A seller can cancel an order before it is shipped.

To cancel, 1) click on the Account tab and, 2) select Selling and look for your sale under the In Progress tab. 3) Click on the Order you want to cancel, then 4) click on the Cancel Order button, 5) choose your reason for cancellation from the dropdown menu and, 6) Submit.

VERIFICATION: Verification is a service that BUYSELL does not offer. We stand by the brands sold on our platform and recognize that only they have the authority to validate items made by their brand. As a platform with a Zero-Tolerance Fraud Policy, we promise to make our best effort to ensure the verification of the products sold on our platform. At BUYSELL, we have expert moderators who will be digitally evaluating listings and weed out fraudulent items. We will also be relying on our buyers and sellers to alert us about any items they suspect are inauthentic. If you find a questionable listing, just click the “Report” button on the listing page to notify our moderation team so we can investigate the situation.

In order to digitally verify listings we encourage sellers to provide a full range of detailed photographs when listing their items. If an item is considered high-risk we require the seller to have photos with authenticity indicators in the listing in order to be published on BUYSELL. All high-risk items require digital authentication before going live.

SELLER TAX INFO / W9: BUYSELL will automatically calculate, collect, and submit state and local sales tax on the seller’s behalf, as applicable, on a regular basis. Sales tax collection is not deducted from your seller earnings, but included in the buyer’s order total.

As part of changes to U.S. law, beginning in January 2022, BUYSELL is required to provide sellers with a Form 1099-K. Once you make $600 or more in gross sales on our platform, you will receive communications from BUYSELL asking you to update your account with the following taxpayer information:

Your Full Name Your Address Your TIN(Taxpayer Identification Number) for businesses/EIN or SSN for individuals

It is important that the taxpayer information you provide in your account matches the information you provide to the IRS for your annual tax return. You will not receive any earnings unless you provide the taxpayer information requested.

MY SHIPMENT NEVER ARRIVED, WHAT SHOULD I DO? As a first step, you should track your package via the USPS website. If your package was never delivered, or lost in transit, please let us know so we can assist you in obtaining a refund for your item. If USPS says your package was delivered but you still cannot find it, please ask USPS to provide you with proof of delivery so you can better look for your package. If you still cannot locate your package, you must file a lost/stolen package claim with USPS directly.
